Christopher Woodcock

[Christopher Woodcock nasceu em San Francisco, Califórnia, em 1975.

Graduou-se de San Francisco Art Institute, em 2002, com um Bachelor of Fine Arts em Fotografia.

Christopher foi selecionado para o International Artlink @ Sotheby's programa Arte Jovem em 2003. O programa e catálogo levou seu trabalho para a arte contemporânea internacional cenas de Moscou, Tel Aviv e Amsterdã. Em 2004 teve sua primeira grande exposição individual com Caterina Pazzi Arte Contemporânea de Roma.

2005 trouxe a publicação da Adidas "Bedroom Rockers, onde DJs Call Home", um hardcover 141page com fotografia de Christopher. Bedroom Rockers é um livro de edição limitada, que revela os espaços interiores de 97 DJs em cinco cidades dos Estados Unidos.

Bonni Benrubi Gallery of New York City tem representado Christopher Woodcock desde 2006. Seu trabalho foi exibido no vale de Sonoma Museum of Art Bienal de 2007 e tem sido apresentado internacionalmente em feiras de arte em Paris e Toronto. Também em 2007, o Douglas Udell Gallery of Canada começou a mostrar seu trabalho.]

Christopher continua a trabalhar e viver na San Francisco Bay Area, prosseguindo simultaneamente um mestrado em Belas Artes na Universidade da Califórnia em Davis.

William Claxton

[Começou por fotografar músicos, olhou para eles como pessoas, não só como artistas. Ele queria capturar o drama inato das suas vidas, a diversão, a ansiedade, a juventude eterna. Ele aprendeu a fazer tudo isso e muito mais em 1950, quando seu álbum de covers para a Pacific Jazz Recordsd reflecte um som carregado de clubes de jazz na praia e noites amenas Califórnia.

Claxton é um foto-jornalista. Ele faz com que os artistas fiquem confortáveis o suficiente para baixar a guarda, então congelar seus momentos mais reveladores. As maiores revelações ocorrem quando ele leva os músicos fora do palco.]

1930 Until 1934: attends school at the Heinrich von Treitschke Realgymnasium in Berlin-Schöneberg.
1934 Until 1938: resides in Berlin-Halensee.
1934 Until 1935: attends the American school in Berlin-Schöneberg. After change of residence, attends secondary school in Berlin-Grunewald.
1936 Until 1938: apprenticeship with the portrait, nude and fashion photographer Yva (Else Simon, neé Neuländer) in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
1938: Flees Berlin via train at Zoo Station towards Trieste, taking with him two stills cameras. Finds work in Singapore at the “Singapore Straits Times.”

2004: Helmut Newton dies in Los Angeles. The Helmut Newton Foundation is opened shortly following his death.
